Swaying no more.

Thank you for your best wishes for 'The Font' who had a reasonable night. This morning one of the nurses from the local health centre will be here to change the head bandage. Yesterday afternoon we're called by the secretary at the doctors surgery and told to have E5.32 ready to pay the nurse when she comes. Angus has to ask if  she means  E53.20, but no, E5.32 is the amount for having a head bandage changed.

On our morning walk Sophie decides to lie down in the middle of the lane and wave her legs in the air. She has never done this before. I wonder if she's in pain but it appears to be an overdose of joie de vivre. Nothing like a good back scratch to get the day started. Having rolled on her back she's soon on her feet and off at high speed. Can dogs have a satisfied look on their faces ? As we walk Angus tells his furry companion the news that Kanye West is going to run for President. 2020 really is a vintage year.

A circus coming to the neighbouring village.  This one seems to have a llama and a horse. The last circus that came through had a Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pig. The French countryside seems to love circuses.

The remedial work on the swaying Jesus has been completed. A stainless steel sleeve has been wrapped around the wooden down beam and slotted into a strengthened hole in the brick work. It is hoped that this will once and for all stop the swaying. We shall see.

Some Sunday morning Bach, beautifully performed : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5Df7f_BLU8

I thought you must be kidding about Kanye, but there it is: "Kanye West Announces US Presidential Bid, Gets Elon Musk's Support." Just when you think 2020 can't possibly get any weirder! I think Sophie has the right idea - just roll on your back and wave your legs in the air. I'm glad to hear the Font is doing OK.

I’m so glad The Font is ok. This year has been so weird, flinging myself on my back and waving my legs in the air sounds almost sensible!

Kanye West for President...what could possibly go wrong. Glad The Font is okay and can have care at home.

Kanye West - hahahaha!!! Oh well, we were wondering if you could do worse than the current guy.

Sophie - we live that you are having a joyful moment and that Angus captured it for us to see.

Our prayers to 'the Font' for continued rapid recovery. We were alarmed to read of such a stupid accident befalling her.

Will the village lose interest of pilgrims now that it ony has a stock-standard still Jesus?

I have decided Ma Nature is using 20/20 to alter the 'vision' of the Human Critter... not sure she is being successful. YAM xx

Have to say my first thought was that he might make Kim Kardashian Secretary of State.

My thoughts are the same as YAM's. Will your tiny village of 67 souls now slip back into obscurity after enjoying the limelight with the swaying Jesus? How sad if there might be no more pilgrims - some of whom could be carrying sausages or Jaffa cakes about their person!
Glad to hear that 'The Font' seems to be on the mend.

Good to hear 'The Font' is recovering well from yesterday's shock, and no Swaying Jesus miracles will be required!

All the best wishes for "The Font" who I hope recovers quickly, uneventfully and as painlessly as possible.

And add me to the those rolling their eyes with the news about Kanye West. He has already missed the deadlines to run in many states. And I also agree he's doing it for attention which he certainly got after the announcement.

I say if the Jesus wants to sway, let it!

Prayers for the Font. Happy to hear she is going to be ok.

Kanye for President? Laughable at best! :)

We too are happy to read that the font had a reasonable night. Great she can have her visit with the nurse at home and at a great price.
It was indeed shocking to read what happened, such a stupid accident. So careless by that young man. We are enjoying life on Vancouver Island well away from tourists that usually flock here in droves. Cheers.
