Done and dusted.

Monday morning. The Manhattanites talk about India's falling growth rate, cracks in Taiwans 'silicon' shield and Marjorie Taylor Greene. Matt Gaetz is also mentioned. Seems he wants to defund the FBI. The Manhattanites, in a rare display of Wall Street humour, think that with his track record that makes sense.  Thankfully, we're all done and dusted in twenty minutes.

The bravest of the Jack Russells arrives at the gate just as we're heading off to the beach. The Jack Russell barks. Sophie shrieks. The curlews join in, as do the geese. Curlews can be really, really, noisy. The other Jack Russells arrive. They also bark. There is a reprise of Sophie's shriek.

The combination of Jack Russells and the PONette do not make for a quiet start to our day.

Down on the beach Sophie decides to focus her skills on 'excavating'. Why this particular spot on the beach should be chosen is a mystery. She will not be moved.

Back at home the PONette wanders into the kitchen with a world class accumulation of sand, twigs and seaweed on her coat and muzzle. As soon as the warmer weather arrives she is going to have a buzz cut. I tell her she's a walking advert for short haired dogs ... or C-A-T-S.

Sophie's reproachful expression is priceless.
Great response from Kurt Vonnegut

Nobby wonders why humans are considered to be the intelligent species when they so often can't work out what is totally obvious to dogs, like why a particular spot needs excavating.
Gail loves the Kurt Vonnegut letter.

What wonderful advice from Kurt Vonnegut that we might all take to heart. Your magnificent blue skies are a cheering sight as coastal Northern California looks at another day of rain.

I loved the Kurt Vonnegut letter. We all need to hear that message at some point in our lives. The perfect timing would most likely be those tricky high school years.

Oh, what a chorus you heard this morning Angus! Magnificent sky above Sophie digging in the sand.

Love the last photo of Sophie - she looks so innocent! The kitchen floor looks as though it's able to withstand some of Sophie's wilder excavations.

I wonder what Kurt Vonnegut would write to us today.

So much for a peaceful, calm start of day walk! Even the geese? I, too, enjoyed the Kurt Vonnegut letter.

Sophie's face in the last picture made me laugh!
C-A-T-S in lieu of The Diva; surely you jest...
