Momentary panic.

Angus is flying to London. With Easter and the Coronation on the horizon this is the last pre-summer chance to travel while things are calm and hotels still have rooms.

Before he goes there's time for a quick walk on the beach ....

... where an incoming wave catches Sophie off guard. There is momentary panic followed by a shriek.

Then to the bookstore to find something to read on the plane. By this stage Sophie's paws are largely dry. After a sliver of shortbread and a bowl of water at the student cafe she once again regains her composure.

The Coronation will be screened live outside the town kirk . Here, in the village, the widescreen television last used at the late Queens funeral will be set up in the village hall. Wine and sandwiches will be provided. Volunteers are sought to put up the bunting. https://coronation.gov.uk/event/big-screen-showing-of-the-coronation-st-andrews/

Nobby says those waves can be sneaky.

A sudden shock of cold water is enough to make anyone shriek.

I bet that water is cold, I'd shriek too. Great bookstore, enjoy THE CITY, before the madness.

Good morning to Angus and Sophie. What a marvelous bookstore! I'd probably miss my plane browsing through those wondrous shelves.

Never mind Sophie, at least they were only tiny waves, but you have to keep your eye on them.
Smooth travels to the very big city, Angus. At least the standard of cuisine will remain constant in your absence.
In times gone by, the Mayor would be knocking on your door to borrow your ladder!

Poor Sophie! I've been surprised by a wave when I've been sunning on a beach! I always shrieked, too! Safe. travels, Angus. Hoping the visit to the physicians is uneventful.

Those sneaky waves!
Angus, hope the book is a good read and the physician visit goes well.
No big screen community viewing of the Coronation here, after all, we are in the States. However it will be one of those wake up at 3 a.m. to turn on t.v. and watch history being made moment.

I remember as a child waking up early early to watch the coronation of Queen Elizabeth on our tiny black and white TV. Will do the same in May to watch the coronation of King Charles...but happily on a much larger platform so we can actually see what is happening.
