A record of those unimportant little things that are too important to be forgotten.

For every mountain there is a miracle.
Angus and Bob are sent off for a walk round the village while Sophie has her bandages removed. The font ' makes some comment about ' this requires sensitivity ' . We return to find the dressings off. Everything fine apart from some slight bruising on one side . 'The font' has ordered a made to measure ' post operative ' collar from Germany. Surprisingly Sophie loves it. She trots around the house, head high, a canine Naomi Campbell in her tee-shirt and contrasting ruff. We'll keep it on until the itchiness wears off. Roll on Thursday when the stitches come out.
This morning Bob and his sister are allowed to play together gently on the kitchen floor. Being reunited has immediately changed Bob's demeanour . Mr.Glum is replaced by Mr.Fun. He has visibly relaxed now that his full flock is back. '' I don't know what you did Sophie but it must have been very bad ". Two very happy Sheepdogs.

My recent acquisition of an adoptable Beagle mix could have used Sophie's "ruff" - when I checked today, all his stitches are out - a bit early but all is intact, so to speak. Sophie does look sophisticated with toys on her ruff. Glad Bob feels better with his flock back to full strength.
He's not going to be so happy when he's recuperating.

So pleased that Sophie is on the mend and Bob restored to being Mr Fun. But is it just my parents' computer, or is that final staccato 'video' somewhat headache inducing?
Cheers, Gail.
Don't know what happened with the video download. The curse of google strikes again !
I remember dreading the removal of the stitches, Lulu being such a drama queen and mardy baby, and thoroughly expected that she would need a sedative. (Me too!) It turned out to be a doddle. I distracted her by allowing her to lick a dollop of cream cheese from my hand and they were out before she had finished it !! (The cream cheese method of dog examination and grooming has stood me in good stead over the last few years!)
It will be a relief when the stitches are out and all is back to normal. Is it Bob's turn next?
A canine Naomi Campbell, indeed! Fortunately for Bob, she refrained from her customary phone throwing during the kitchen rope battle.
Thrilling win today for Andy Murray!!!!
Bob's turn can wait until after the summer holidays are over and the house is empty again .
Wasn't it !
Oh poor Sophie, the itchiness signals healing, and I'm glad that she is well on her way to a full recovery.
She has taken to her post operative collar quite nicely, even I am surprised. It looks far more comfortable than the plastic cone shaped kind. Hurray for the Font and her sensitivity.
Loved the video today....it keeps replaying and I love it.
Oh she just looks so cute. They both look delighted to be reunited.
x
Roll on Thursday. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
I would say there are also two happy owners!!
Aw bless her cottons!
The puppy 'head-platter' worn with a touch of panache - Kitty taking note (her op soon too).
So pleased that Bobs revelling in the reunite :-)
Have fun X
Lovely, lovely, lovely pups --- just sweet and unique!!!! Blessings Susanne, Daisy and Kirilirili
Bob might not be so pleased with his sister when he finds out she's been burying all his toys while he wasn't looking.
Yeah for Andy Murray !
The "head on plate" outfit will make a great halloween costume. The dog toy in the top photo makes a great side dish of soph's head. I'm glad that they have been reunited.
That modern day "cone of shame" has advanced nicely. Sophie looks very regal in it. Is Bob aware his turn is next? Something tells me there will be lots of howling coming from that not-so-little guy. Happy Monday kiddles.

Sophie's sense of style is sweet indeed! You will probably be able to suit her up in just about anything, although Bob will probably try to remove it!

First time we've been able to get the video on our iPhone! Hurrah! Continue, please.
Bob will have grown enough by summers end to make Sophie's custom cone too small for him. It looks quite a bit more comfortable that anything we've seen here. Good work, the font.
Bob has his own custom cone. Thankfully several sizes larger. Having said that at the rate he's growing we may need one that's Briard sized.
Ah, this makes me smile.
Apple loved her "ruff" too.
Wore it proudly and used it as a pillow when she napped.
Roll on Thursday, indeed!
xo
For halloween The Font should make Sophie a little black cape and give her an apple, and dress Bob up as Snow White.
It really does look like a wonderfully soft cone, so much better than any I have seen.
So nice to see them playing. I've been more worried about Bob than Sophie!
How is Sophie handling eating with her collar?
No problem. It's as light as a feather and supple enough to let her get her muzzle to the bowl. German efficiency !
I have never seen such a collar. Sophie looks like she has adapted to it beautifully, especially since it is a great place to keep her toys. Glad the pups got to play together!
Oh good.., much as I liked the t-shirt look
Great Pictures and video!
It's good to see the kids together again playing. When Yogi and Barney both got neutered (both male labs) They were happy and back in full "lets play mode" in about 24 hours. I hope Mister Bob does as well, he is a sweetie. Oh, I love the new German collar too - wonder if the engineers were from BMW ? Ha!
Hugs,
Yogi & Mom
How about letting us know the manufacturer and ordering site for that collar?
Not long now till Thursday! Doesn't Sophie look just adorable in her ruff? Glad to hear that Bob was pleased with his sister's return!

Sorry, I see the websites only in German but they speak English.
