A record of those unimportant little things that are too important to be forgotten.

To know the road ahead ask those coming back.
It's going to be hot. First light and the air is already heavy with the mix of lavender, honeysuckle and rose . The smell of France in summer.
While I open up the pool Bob and Sophie hare off to check the garden. Sophie finds an old toy in the laurel hedge. This keeps her quiet and happy for ten minutes. Bob returns , his face alight with joy. He sticks out his tongue. '' I has found a slug. It was delicious ". Dog owners will know that this particular look is invariably followed by an enthusiastic face lick .
Local melons in the greengrocers. €3.50 each. Last year they were €2.00 . The impact of this years heavy rain.

Love Bob's tongue with the dirt in the cracks!
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
He does look very pleased with himself.
Sophie looks lovely and fluffy. Well done that Cost Centre.
I'll be there by Friday afternoon; I have grand ideas of getting the house organised in double quick time. I think I will be mostly melting.
See you on the other side!

38 degrees forecast for today, 40 tomorrow.
Oh Bob, a slug. Well done my man.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS from Gail - regular readers will appreciate all that is behind that simple statement 'while I open up the pool'
Sewage one day, slugs the next ... puppy paradise!
Keep yourselves cooool
Have fun x
I'm sure Bob thinks the slug was far better than the melon! Which by the way, I paid about the same price for one here yesterday. But the grocery store was also selling Cavaillon melons from France, that were more than $5 each.
At least it wasn't a poisonous toad !!
What are little PON's made of?
Slugs and snails and puppy dog tails........
There is never a dull moment with those two.....gotta love them.
Stay cool.
They look so happy - makes me laugh!!!! Mine are suffering a bit but make the best of visitors and especially children - stay cool!!!!!! Love from Southern Italy steaming and buzzing Ischia Susanne, Daisy and Kiri
Bob certainly does look very happy, that boy has a winning smile ! What happened to all the toys Sophie buried under the gravel, has she retrieved them yet ?
I had to crack up! That picture of Bob with his hair sticking up reminded me so much of Wilf and Digby's bad hair days of the past. Stay cool!
A slug?
Eaten?
Oh, Lord.
After the poisonous toad episode slugs are run of the mill !
The melons look very good. Did you buy one?
What wonderful fragrances to begin your day with.
How lovely for Sophie that there are surprises to be found in the hedgerows.
There certainly seems to be something slug like remaining in the crevices of that pink tongue, and yes, he seems super pleased about it! Dogs! They find joy in everything.
My sympathies for the heat. We are having such a pleasant week temperature wise. Love the dirty tongue! That's the look of a happy puppy....
Sophie might be pulling out all sorts of treats...keep watch!
At least slugs are free
