We return from our morning visit to the bakers to find Madame Bay sitting in the kitchen chatting to 'the font' . Madame Bay has returned from Boston bringing with her a collection of tiny jello cartons 'liberated' from the restaurant of their hotel. These now sit in a small pile in the middle of the kitchen table. '' I thought you'd like them ". The emphasis is on the "you". This implies that Madame Bay and her fellow travellers have tried them and found them unpalatable. '' It's a shame to waste them " she adds as an after thought. ' There's nothing Angus loves more ' says 'the font' with a degree of enthusiasm rarely heard when breakfast jello is being discussed. Angus thinks that there are many, many, things that he likes more than grape flavoured jello. However, he keeps this thought to himself.
The battle of wills over Sophie's digging continues. Stones are placed in the bottom of the hole before it is filled in for the fourth time. This will hopefully put an end to it.

Does anybody like the sort of jello you get in little cartons in hotels?
Spoil sport !!
I'm totally with you Angus, I don't like jello no matter where it comes from -- But as 'the font' might just say in an effort to see the good side, at least you were being thought of.'
you are such a good dog dad to keep filling the hole, so they can keep digging it!! :)

Is Sophie digging out the footings for her Harley's garage ?
A gardener on t.v. has suggested burying flat bits of chicken wire, then covering them with dirt. It stops his dog from digging in the garden. Perhaps you can do this if Sophie persists with the digging. Are Pons known for being earth dogs and digging like terriers?
We think Sophie will always find a way around an obstacle.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Perhaps Sophie wants a PONd.
Some sort of paving?
I had no idea Boston hotels handed out small boxes of Jello. How ... interesting.
Handed out ? Taken or 'liberated' from the breakfast table as a souvenir might be a better description.
Grape flavoured jello for breakfast???? It's nice to be thought of......Bon appetit.
I see cement pouring in your future, perhaps over a bunch of cartons of jello!
A trick shared with me to stop the digging...put some of their poop in the holes then cover it up. They won't dig in their own poop. I did this with my dog who was digging up my backyard. He stopped.
How time flies! B&S will enjoy them.
