Everything that is done in this world is done by hope.

Angus continues to collect material for his forthcoming coffee table book on airline lounge furniture. '' The Worlds Wackiest Chairs ".  Today we stumble across enormous , over sized , armchairs designed for a five hundred pound sumo wrestler and in a different airport a banquette built  a spine jarring eight inches above the ground.

Back at The Rickety Old Farmhouse the PON duo are in fine form. Bob arrives in the kitchen at lunchtime with a dead vole in his mouth. This is taken away from him. Twenty minutes later he returns from the garden with a live one. This is briefly and triumphantly shown to 'the font' before being quickly swallowed. Later . he decides that the bristle door mat makes an excellent toy for playing tug of war with his sister.

'' Dogs being well behaved ? " I ask on the phone. ' Oh yes . Absolute angels ! ' comes the reply. Strange but the words have one meaning but the tone of voice another, completely different,  one.

Yes, I agree that is quite angelic, ridding your rickety property of voles. Well done Bob.
Toodle pip!

I know you're collecting photos of the world's wackiest chairs at airports, but surely you'll have to spare a page in your book for that Mr.Ed horse lamp!!
Bob is taking his post seriously....defend and protect until the master gets back home....all voles are fair game.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you post a photo of Bob in operation with the whooshing doors at the airport on your return.

I also think Bob is doing a wonderful job of keeping 'the Font' entertained (?) and safe while Angus is away

Agreed that your book needs a sidebar on lighting systems. A horse with a lampshade on its head . . . Perhaps you will find enough of those for a full chapter.
I am picturing Bob tossing the hapless vole into the air before swallowing it whole, rather like a seal with a fish.

*snicker* Bob, I think your halo's slipped a bit...

I think I actually just said "awwwww" out loud when I scrolled to third photo.

Such sweetness along with the added comfort of knowing the font is thoroughly protected should there be a vole invasion. Does it get any better?

Meant fourth photo . Math has never been a strength of mine . .. although the third photo could induce a different kind of aww.

Is that horse wearing a lampshade on its head? All the good parties end with someone wearing a lampshade on their head or dangling off a chandelier.

We are well acquainted with dead voles here.
Have yet to face live ones in the house.
Shudder at the thought.
