A pre-breakfast walk through the sunflower fields followed by an illicit half croissant at the cafe under the arcades. Some pilgrims challenged ( Bob barks, Sophie lets out her high pitched " Come and play with me ! " yelp ) before brother and sister rush off chasing blackbirds, ineptly and noisily, through the laurel hedge. After lunch, time for a nap followed by more blackbird chasing and another nap. Wiener schnitzel for dinner followed by ice cream. Bob is so overcome with happiness he does his soft shoe shuffle routine while showing everyone his overbite.
Bob and Sophie's behaviour with the laundry has been forgiven , if not forgotten.
Happy ( but chaotic ) is the house with young, contented, dogs.
