Grey skies and chill temperatures. To celebrate winters arrival the PONs dig in the garden. They get their feet and muzzles washed. They garden some more. They get washed again. The third time this happens the PON owners wonder whether on a damp muddy day it's better to have two lively dogs in the house or outside.

Gail says inside, Bertie says out.
Those feet and muzzles....ya gotta love 'em.
BOL, it are time to give up.
I thought Leah was dirty this weekend until I saw your photo of Sophie's paws. Now that is muddy !
I'm with Teena and Merlin, surrender, and wave the white muddy flag.
Be sure to show those photos to Caroline.
Great Pictures!! I agree, wave the mud flag :)
Sophie looks like she had a good time as aways, BUT Bob's picture made me laugh out loud.

Rainy days are leash days...first to drag us out cuz we don't want go....then to make sure we don't have a lovely puddle roll or a quick dig in the soft ground. She keeps a large flat pan of water on the lanai and we get walked through that on the way in too. Then a quick towel dry and we hot foot it to the bed for a damp roll on the bed covers just to get even.

Precisely why we are in the process of building a screened porch.
What ever makes them happy and doesn't drive you totally crazy.
How very sensible .
We have.
Love ?
Let's all pray that it gets warmer and drier before Caroline comes face to face with the muddy duo . Turbocharged unhappiness is not something to look forward to....
We'v surrendered.
Pluses and minuses to each.
It gets worse.
If dirt = contentment then Bob is a very contented fellow.
No need to encourage these two outside.
Gotta tell you I like the muddy noses and paws but that's just because I don't have to do the cleaning and bathing....but hey they are enjoying themselves.
My boy Brownie loves to walk in the muddiest part of the garden when it rains, then he high tails it inside to pick the mud out of his paws under the dining table. Lots of mud blobs under the table then it's time for a paw wash under the outdoor sink which he loves.
Thank you for your kind thoughts. It means a lot.
What a difference a day makes, they are little bastions of cleanliness on the previous post - looking good either way though, Bob and Sophie - don't you fret.
