Different characters.

The week was supposed to  be wet and windy. So it's proved to be. Meteo France forecast 110 km/h winds.

The electricity supply to The Rickety Old Farmhouse has been maintained . There have been brief interruptions but the power company has got everything working again quickly.

The PONs are completely oblivious to the storms. We've always had at least one PON that would have a 'moment' at the mere hint of thunder. These two don't seem to notice. We put this canine sang froid down to the first twelve weeks of their lives being spent at a farmhouse far out in the country.

Bob, sensibly comes inside for a nap if the weather's bad. When the skies get dark and there's lightning about Sophie has to be encouraged into the house. She is completely untroubled by torrential rain, wind or thunder.

Such different characters.

I would have thought that Sophie would have a "diva" moment at the mere hint of adverse weather. The torrential rain ruins a girl's coiffeur !

How fortunate that neither PON is bothered by storms. How was it with Wilf and Digby?
Bertie too is not worried at all by thunder and lightening - surprising perhaps as such storms are a rare event here in Aberdeen and so it is not a case of him getting habituated at a young age.
Cheers, Gail (heavy rain, strong NE wind and a high of 12ºC in Aberdeen...)

Sophie not minding being out in any weather, once again shows that she's channeling her Polish roots! Although I read recently that PON's were brought to Scotland, so maybe it's her Scottish roots instead!

Sophie revels in the elements, be they baking sun or downpours.
Bob is a steady fellow.
Our Millie is undone by thunder and lightning and the neighbors' Fourth of July party.

With a weather forecast like that, it's good the PONs remain calm.

I had a dog who would crawl under the bed and stay there, shivering, until the thunder was gone. Thunder shirts came along too late for him, poor little guy.
Every time you show a picture of your library, I have a day or two of serious bookcase envy.
