On our first walk of the morning we meet the mayor. He'll be retiring in less than two weeks. The vote is on Sunday and then eight days later his replacement is sworn in.
It may have been an unsuccessful attempt to get a sandwich the mayor had left in the back of his car ....
.... or a trip to the waterfall to fish for minnows ...
.... but whatever the reason today does not rank as a good hair day for Sophie. In fact it's a dire hair day.
I'd have to agree with this : https://twitter.com/twlldun/status/1237288998982373377

But Sophie does look super-satisfied today as well. Perhaps the hair and super-satisfaction go together just like the orb and . . .
I might mention ANGUS - Sir ROD STEWART has made quite a career sporting a hairdo much akin to that of SOPHIE. Look at it that way.
All best regards from a rainy Westcoast of Canada.
She does have that wind-swept, or rather cyclone-swept look.

Mlle Sophie, I apologise profusely for the indecent outburst of cackling I just let loose... (Nearly as demonic as that photo of the waxworks gathering...) Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
I'm wondering if you know who is likely to be the new mayor?
There is a choice between the deputy mayor and the local bathroom tiler. We suspect the bathroom tiler will be a surprise victor. The deputy mayor seems to think he has it in the bag. Village hubris of the pride comes before a fall variety.
I can think of someone else who thinks he has it in the bag. Here's hoping for a fall although it may result in riots in the streets.
If it is who I think you may be referring to: "Many people are saying " that there will be joyful dancing in the streets!
I love children and despise "orange" ;-)
As for Sophie's hairdo, I think she looks like a girl who has been hanging upside down from the monkey bars....for an hour or two. Doesn't matter: our Sophie is still very cute!
Sophie's hair is remarkable even for her.
Your mayor has set such a high standard for your village; he's always seemed quite the gentleman.
