Angus texts back to say that ' The driver is welcome to give me a call any time to get directions. The number is the same one you're using for the texts'. This is met with silence. Perhaps sarcasm doesn't translate ?
In the evening the builder shows up. It seems the German billionaire, his wife, their chef, their secretary and their sons have all tested positive. This is what happens when you drive backwards and forwards across frontiers and assume the regulations are applicable to others but not you. The gardeners, the cleaning ladies and the odd job men who work at the chateau must all go into quarantine. When he hears this the Calvinist side of Angus finds vocal expression with some decidedly non-son of the manse phraseology. It just ain't fair.
This is interesting. I'd have got Murphy, Smith, Martin, Melnik and Andersson. Possibly Papadopoulos.
Todays music. A small thank you to hospital trauma room doctors :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZBW0ZQGmyM&feature=youtu.be
And who can resist a little Bruch played in Scotland in lockdown ? :https://youtu.be/R2V8VOaR6Ro?t=799

The virus is a strange thing. Sometimes it seems like a very abstract risk, as most of us don't often encounter people who've had it or at least who've become seriously ill - my secretary had it but her only symptom was the loss of taste and smell - but if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people, the consequences can be shocking. It's really too bad for all the workers in your village who've become entangled, but I hope they will all get away as lightly as my secretary. Meanwhile, in the department of "no surprise," the message came around this morning that our firm's year-end party has been cancelled. Instead, we will apparently all be receiving a gift of meat - no idea what sort of meat, but then again, I am a vegetarian. I loved Dr. Elvis.
There are some folks who look forward to year end gatherings. Angus managed the 'make an appearance then disappear' routine for 40 years.
More grounds then, for Anger Management guy to rage against the Billionaire.
Interesting map. I might just have guessed Yilmaz and Müller (although Schmidt might have also been my pick for Germany).
And who can resist Nicola Beneditti, in any circumstances?
Lucky miss Sophie in the big car. It looks like nice mild weather for you.
What suitable "queenly" transport - Sophie looks just like the Diva she is, in the back of the big car. Inca is justifiably green with envy - she has to make do riding shotgun in a small Peugeot!
Here's hoping the German billionaire is generous enough to offer economic support to all those forced into quarantine because of his careless ways.
I thought of you yesterday probably fielding phone calls from Manhattan 'suits' when the news about Janet Yellen came out.
Sophie looks like the princess she is, in her no-dog car. A propos the German billionaire, selfishness seems the prerogative of the ignorant and the privileged, who, I guess, are ignorant in their own way. Sad. Lovely music, though.
We hope those who caught it don't become seriously ill and follow the quartile rules to stop the spread.
