The village is quiet. Sophie spends much of her day on the grooming table waiting for something to happen. In between times she dozes in the sunshine. The fact that nothing happens - unless you count the passage of three tractors - doesn't trouble her.
The new mayor hasn't got the hang of dealing with the flags. He puts them out just fine. It's just that he forgets to take them down again. The old mayor took them down the day after the national holiday. This new one leaves them up for a week or so .... or until he remembers.

Level three restrictions I would have thought, would quieten things down here too... but quite the opposite, it seems. Perhaps if we lived where tractors are transport....... YAM xx
Sophie taking the traditional Day of Rest approach to Sunday?
The roads are busy here in level two restricted Aberdeen. A combination of reluctance to use public transport and the ban on different households sharing cars, I surmise.
Sunday at the end of a week of 'lockdown' and the traffic has finally subsided here. Once again the relatively empty esplanade road is being turned into a walkabout carnival. I guess our neighbours chat on their balconies every day, but today we can actually hear them! The place sounds human again. Oh for a week in a place like your village.
Inca is of the opinion that Sophie has the right approach to Sundays - they are meant for lazing about - though that doesn't mean that I shall have any peace until we've been for our walk around the neighbourhood!
No actual lockdowns locally, but just a hope that everyone will exercise common sense. Having recently been for a medical check-up to renew my driving licence (obligatory at the extortionate cost of 60 euros!), I was horrified at the lack of hygiene and distancing at the local medical centre who perform the task, so it's not surprising Spain's numbers are so high. Now I'm worried that after months of taking extreme care, I may have unwittingly come into contact with the virus.
Stupidly, NO restrictions here in the state of South Carolina, USA (with the exception of those imposed by individual businesses and hospitals). We, and our pack, are of the few here who await January 20, 2021 with bated breath. Sadly, the history, culture and educational system of this state teach how to follow, not to question or analyze. So...I have found Sophie's antics a great panacea during this dire time, and I immensely enjoy M'Ongoose's eclectic selections of music.
Still no news on Loic?
I think there's a lot that can be learned by our "untroubled" canine family members.
I hope that you hear from Loic, and he is "untroubled."
