Hot and humid. Mountain storms threatened for this afternoon. There may be hail. Sophie waits with ill disguised impatience while Angus chats away to serious Manhattanites. They are now back in their offices on Madison Avenue although they work from home on Mondays and Fridays and get into work at five am on the other three. This way they avoid crowds. One lets slip that in Mississippi only 34% of the population have been vaxed whereas in Vermont it's 71%. Today we also discuss recounts in Fulton County, Ga and Maricopa County, Az. The men in dark suits are ever more convinced that the former President really does plan to run again with the Florida Governor as his presumptive running mate. Even the possibility of this makes life difficult for foreign governments who can't plan for 'business as usual'.

I think that, somehow, the trim you've given Sophie is having the effect of amplifying her "looks." As to the Manahattanites, I really don't understand how someone who can't even get anyone to read his blog maintains such a grip on people. It's like yesterday the emperor had no clothes, today the emperor has no clothes and tomorrow the emperor won't have any clothes, but people will still be falling all over themselves. Harrumph.
The Alaska article was fascinating. Well worth a read on a relaxing morning in damp Dunoon.

I'm a bit later to it, but also enjoyed the Alaska read... and, indeed, the trunk business with potential for adaptation in robotics. No hot here today, just because I have visitors, of course... plenty of the 'humid'. YAM xx
The weather looks distinctly unsettled here too, so we've had a quick walk around the neighbourhood. Inca can understand Sophie's impatience to get the day started. It's not much fun if you get caught out in the rain wearing a fur coat, so that may be another reason for haste!
I've saved the Alaska article to read at my leisure.
Sophie's expressions keep me smiling all day! That "do you know how disappointed in you I am?" Is priceless. Thank you.
