60 mph winds this morning. 'The Font' heads back to London for a chance to see the dentist and have an annual road test at the doctors. The flight is delayed because of the winds. Thankfully, when the plane is finally cleared for takeoff, the wind has swung round and is blowing along the runway. This makes for a 'spectacular' take off. 'Spectacular' is the Swedish word for stomach churning. Sophie shares a croissant at the airport Starbucks, observes the ( 90% mask less ) passengers and marvels at the sliding doors in the departure terminal.
We pass the German billionaires wife, her youngest son and a bearded man who speaks French with a German accent that is straight out of central casting. All three give Sophie an ear tickle. They must all be dog 'people' because the family diva, usually so particular about who comes near her, ignores them all and revels in the attention.
France Musique has now started putting its concerts on video. The French 'do' concerts well :https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x88y8dj

Loving the windswept look Sophie.
Sitting on the runway while takeoff is delayed because of strong winds is the stuff of nightmares - at least of my nightmares. So true about politicians - if I could not make fun of Ted Cruz, I don't know how I would survive. Also true about dog owners. The dog posts coming out of Ukraine are heart-wrenching, and there are dog heroes as well, including this bomb-sniffing Jack Russell: https://twitter.com/IAPonomarenko/status/1503684218475401218
Sophie is looking 'spectacular' this morning. One of many new things I have learned about Ukraine in the past few weeks is that it is a nation of dog lovers.

Wow, Sophie... there are supermodels who are paid gazillions to stand in front of giant fans in an attempt to get that look! YAM xx
Hi - Thanks for the link. Incredible that in the 21st century this degree of suffering - human and animal - should be happening.
I well remember Bob's fascination with the sliding doors at Toulouse Airport! Was the Starbucks croissant better than the fancy baker's?
Weird weather here - high winds and a heavy mist, but no rain so far. We've been promised days of this, and orange skies due to Sahara sand in the atmosphere. Another day for curling up on the sofa (Inca) and doing very little (me)!
May these be the winds of change, good change
Heartbreaking photo of the sweet dog.
