Great excitement on the way to the bakers. At the house of the farmer with the red Renault van a major fire has broken out. His tractor has burst into flames and petrol from the tank has set fire to his garage. Two local fire tenders are on the scene in minutes. Thank God for our volunteer fire service. We pass en route to the bakers as they are arriving.
No low flying fighter jets, no swans. no egrets, no cormorants, no floating logs to interrupt this mornings walk by the river. Sophie strides out. When you're a nine year old PONette life is wonderful. Simply wonderful.

Sophie's furs are staging their own resistance movement.
You really do have some exciting starts to your day!
Ours is just about making a decision. Either meet a friend and go out to breakfast, or, given the look of the sky and today's forecast, stay home and keep dry!

Struth, Sophie... you working on the Rasta look??! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Tell Sophie I know just how it feels, if I get caught a strong wind with my hair down. I hope the fire was contained and no one was hurt.
Messy hair, don't care! Have a wonderful day, Angus and beautiful Sophie.
Sophie rather looks as if she's had an egg beater run through her fur. Her charm remains undiminished.
Sophie looks like I feel.
