Wind.

We say hello to both the man with Anger Management issues and the old mayor on our start of day tour of the village. Each  of them comments on how windy it is . After three days of non-stop gales everything has been covered with a fine layer of sand blown up from the Sahara. The local car wash is having a bumper season.

The swans are bobbing around on the river. The winds have brought them closer to shore. Sophie can't get her head around these large white things that seem oblivious to her presence. We stand and stare for a full five minutes. Sophie is transfixed by them. Completely transfixed.

Croissant normalcy has been restored. 8.7/10 today.

As we leave the municipal refuse workers arrive. They shout out a hearty 'Bonjour Sophie' as they get out of their vehicles. Swans, curly croissant ends and adoring fans. The life of a PONette in deepest, deepest France profonde is rich beyond measure.

What did you and "The Font" like best on the Baltomre menu and did you try cooking those meals at the ROF last night for dinner?

Oops, my predictive text can't spell Baltimore!

Mine's a grilled lambchop with sweetbread empanada. Then it has to be creme brulee and raspberries. Cheers! Gail.

The pandemic has changed menus. More and more frequently you'll find that the number of items has been cut back to three or four starters and a similar number of entrees. Guess this reflects the difficulty of finding staff and fresh produce. This menu at least gave us something to think about.

In a couple of photos of Sophie she looks as though she's actually in the water, heading out towards the swans! How nice that the refuse workers greet Sophie by name. Do they know about Jaffa cakes?
That bird feeder is sophisticated, way too sophisticated for me. I just want something to put the bird seed in! Solar panels no less!

Such a zen little girl, of course she has adoring fans.

Lovely idea for a bird feeder but around here the camera would mostly capture photos of grey and red squirrels and multitudes of pesty chipmunks. We have to use a 'Droll Yankee' spinner birdfeeder to keep them all at bay. Check out their website.

I love that Sophie has her own band of followers.

Your life with a PONette in deepest, deepest France profonde is rich beyond measure, too. Thank you for sharing your days with Mlle Sophie.
