Memory is the mother of all wisdom .

The last of the hyacinth bulbs dug up. The lavender bushes along the driveway flattened. Bob and Sophie continue to practise their very particular gardening skills.

Sophie booked in for her 'visit' to the vet on July 1st. Bob can wait. The vet thinks that looking after two post-operative PON's would be a nightmare. '' Not double the amount of work. Ten times as much !! " he says with a very Gallic shrug of the shoulders.

Seven in the evening. The mayor resplendent in his red tartan pork pie hat and the man in the yellow luminescent  jacket who does ' interventions ' arrive at the garden gate. They want to talk about refreshments at the  pottery fair. The village is divided over whether sausage or a mixed grill should be served. A vote will need to be taken. What does ' the font ' think ? They have a glass of champagne . A quick ' woof ' of farewell as they go then Bob and Sophie get back to chewing a watering can  .

We think the vote will be taken in the rickety old farmhouse with copious amounts of champagne and food.

That picture of Bob with the muddy moosh....just priceless.

I adore that photo of Bob, his expression is absolutely priceless. I think it is my very favourite photo so far. Sophie looks extremely proud sittuing there with her prize. As she should be. Such a clever girl.

I agree that the vote will likely be determined in the rickety old farmhouse. Wonder how Bob and Sophie would like to vote.

w Bob and Sophie would

Am looking forward to learning how 'the font', with her formidable skills of diplomacy, tackles the thorny question of sausage versus mixed grill.

Saucisse Aligot would get my vote!
Splendid picture of Bob and that muddy nose.

Oooh, yes! Saucisse Aligot gets my vote too! That sounds fab.
As usual the PONs both look completely adorable.

"There's pot in the hammock! There's a pot in the hammock!" Sophie is one smart lady.
I see she has changed her preference in plant pot colours.
How did the plant pot get into the hammock?
Loved the first two photos a lot. I think the first one should be captioned: "How do YOU know what I've been doing? What muddy nose are you talking about?"
The second photo caption, "I came, I saw, I conquered."
I'm sure the Font has given a wise answer to the dilemma.
The vet is thinking about you in more ways than one.....one PON operation at a time.

Since I had no clue as to what an aligot was, I looked at various spots on the 'net. This website seemed to be fairly authentic (or what seemed so to me). I will admit to finding it hard to imagine this being made for many, many people, in addition to sausages, but I only hope to see the pictures if this is the chosen dish.

"i am innocent til proven guilty! ignore my nose completely."
and the videos today are priceless.
i hope sophie's just walking in and not drinking the stagnant pool rain water??? LOL. but then dog's tummies might be a bit more stalwart than ours. they do enjoy chewing on dark things dug up in planters! xoxo

Sophie is one busy girl, never met a "pot" she didn't like. Oh my, she will be a handful come July 1st. Hugs to both pups, they get cuter each day.

I laughed out loud over that first photo of Bob! Obviously, they are both quite pleased with their handiwork!

After watching those two and their activity levels, must agree with the vet. It is going to be a challenge keeping Sophie calm post op. Our pup has the procedure in two weeks.
The pot in the hammock trick...hysterical!

Perfect photo of Bob!! The hammock video is most entertaining!
Speaking of the pottery fair, I am anxious to see what Angus purchases to add to the somewhat daunting collection of previous purchases in the cellar.

Angus be careful hyacinth bulbs are toxic and can cause some nasty side effects, especially as Sophie had an upset tummy once before!

Love Bob's eye and muddy nose as Sophie has yet again gone "potty." Good luck with the meal planning.

Beautiful pic of Bob! Love the video of Sophie trying to get the garden pot. Their motto should be "never give up"
