Experience is not what happens to you. It is what you do with what happens to you.

The tee shirt routine still working wonders at keeping Sophie and her bandages clean. No signs of pain. Bob decidedly unhappy. He lies in front of the Rickety Old Farmhouse grumbling at the builders. He gets taken on lots of walks and shopping trips but nothing is a substitute for being able to chase his sister.

The Old Farmer spends much of the day working on his little yellow car. In the afternoon he appears at the front gate.'' M'Ongoose I 'm glad to see you ".He pauses to make sure I've understood before continuing. '' Could you keep an eye on things for me ? I'm going away ".  ' No problem ' I say before adding 'Going far ? '. '' Not really. I'm just off for a week to Lithuania to see a lady friend ". Angus and Bob are rendered speechless. He repeats Lit-u-an-ie slowly as if talking to an attention deficient four year old. Sometimes the plot for a novel just lands, unbidden, in your lap.

Here's a July 4th gift for those in search of more prancercizing entertainment.

You know what they say - "there's life in the old dog yet!"
My father acquired a new girlfriend last year. He's 84 and she's 80. He reckons she's saved his life.

"A lady friend" not "my lady friend" - the plot thickens!

Have just watched the video. I'm speechless.

It raises so many questions. The necklace ? What would have happened if a car came down the street ? Why does that road have so many potholes ? Florida or California ? Her way of presenting those opening lines !

May daily dosage of Sophie and Bob - and THAT Video - she seems very happy and very fit - all that exercise and endorphines ... unbelievable...
Lithuania just around the corner ---- reminds me of the mother of a famous singer - she never worked geographics out - she thought you can go to New York by train from St. Petersburg... adoreable lady.
My father is falling in love with his day carer... we will see... Love to Southern France especially to brave Sophie Susanne, Daisy and Kirilirili

I have missed so much in a week while away for a wedding! Hope Sophie is feeling much better.....and poor Bob will be so happy when the chasing resumes.

Lucky you, you'll be house watching for a week. Hope the old farmer makes it back safely from his trip to Lithuania......he may be broke but I hope he'll have enough for gas to get back home.
Angus I saw another one of those videos the other day, and I thought I would post it, but then decided I'd seen one too many....then you surprise us with another one.
Did you see the car that went up the street? She continued her thing with hardly a blink of the eye. It looks like the Florida area to me.
I'm always wondering about her camera man, how on earth does he keep that camera steady, I'd be laughing all the way. I still haven't got the right clothing/accessory look for Prancercising as yet.
So glad to hear that Sophie is doing well. Bob is doing as good as he can under the circumstances. I hope you're bringing home Sophie's croissant pieces from the bakers for her to enjoy while she recuperates.

Oh my. I can just hear the neighbors now...'Here comes the prancercize lady again!' Although she is in fabulous shape is she not? Bio says she's from Florida...but certainly doesn't look like it was filmed there.

Dearest Sophie will be itching to prancercize within a few days. Hugs to both pups.

Lithuania....the Baltic states ......Vilnius, Riga ....
He wasnt repeating the locale in such a way because you might not understand, Angus. It was done as a male to male verbal wink. That old dog...

Kisses for Sophie, God bless her. Bob too.

Sophie looks like she may be getting a little tired of the t-shirt. Bob must soldier on during this forced separation like the trooper he is.
I wonder how The Old Farmer met this so-called "lady friend" in Lithuania??
Okay....sigh....the video of this woman again. At least she is wearing black pants that are less demonstrative of body parts. Her reading of her intro was almost as distracting as her hair and makeup. Does she inspire us to get out and Prance? not so much.

One day soon, Bob will be on the inside looking at Sophie, and he'll totally understand--Won't he?

I think the fact that there's appears to be a sequel to the first prancercizing video, shows that you really can lose weight and a sense of pride at the same time. ;-)

Professor Google informs me that this prancercize has been around since 1989 -- what uninspired lives we lead, that we've missed all this. Maybe you could work it into your novel plot with the old farmer. http://prancercise.com/
So glad Sophie is healing quickly, and sending extra ear scritches for poor, forlorn Bob.

Internet ? The old farmer ?

Perhaps he's had a pen pal? I hope he comes back next week a happy man!

Back again as that video is stuck in my mind! So tell me Angus, if you and the font both prancercized at the same time up and down your hallway or around the farmers property (with the risk of being seen by the locals!) who would smile or laugh first?

Oh, my (about the video).

The teeth...And who's filming her? Are they prance resizing as well??

Hahaha. My iPad auto corrected 'prancersize!"

My dad got his new ladyfriend "off the internet" as he puts it!
At the beginning he had three on the go, but narrowed it down to just one. He was 83 when he started internet dating!

He's hoping to come back happy. As to whether he succeeds ?
