Those who stumble twice over the same stone are fools.

The builder returns. He brings with him two morose lads who spend most of their day standing in a flower bed smoking. The two morose lads ( 'the font ' calls them 'the glums' ) become hyperactive when they're told it's time to load the van and get ready to go.

The pump that lifts the water from the well breaks down. The electricians promise to come and fix it.  A rare example of French after sales service. The electricians dig a hole to lay some cable. Bob and Sophie become actively involved. Hole digging a speciality. The electricians become ever so slightly irritated with their constant companions. Bob and Sophie are dragged off ( reluctantly ) to have a bath.

How long do you think it will be until Sophie works out how to open the gate latch that is just at her height? Paw up or paw down for the two of them to explore the world?

As in ' would you mind bringing them in for a while ? They keep on leaping in the hole and we can't dig ' .

Double locked - night and day ! Otherwise they'd both be off to the Salle des Fetes kitchen.

Wow! I'd have lost my bet about the builders showing up then. Shame you can't get Bob and Sophie to assist and encourage 'the glums'.

Not so much builders as builder with trainees.

It's so nice that they are tall enough (or the bars of the gate low enough) so they can see out.

The builder actually showed up as promised?? I'm stunned, but then again not much work accomplished with "the glums" around. I'm still hoping for your sake that they do get some work completed before your summer arrivals.
Betcha Sophie and Bob would have had the hole dug in record time for the electricians.
It's good to see Sophie back to her old tricks.
Loved the photo of the two of them looking out the gate....adorable.

If I drove up to your gate and saw two fluffy pups peering out I would have a moment where I knew I was in that mythical place called "home". All is well when the flock is together and to be welcomed by these two would be the greatest blessing of all!

RE: Karen & Kellys comment above... Angus - Can we have a photo of the two fluffies up at the gate from an outside point of view please?

Afternoon challenge!

I can't believe the workmen didn't appreciate Bob and Sophie's help!

Those electricians need to "lighten up" (pun intended).

Workmen in the South - I dread those experience wished I was a PON to expect biscuits from them...
Love all the pictures - both of them at the gate... so cute. Have a great day Susanne, Daisy and Kirilirili

Save money, start a hole and let the Two finish it.

The problem with a picture of them from the other side of the gate could be that they might be howling their hearts out that you were going somewhere without them! Could that be?

The glums should be introduced to the Gashlycrumb Tinies....perhaps a book can be written about the morose lads. Love the behind shot, looking lovingly at the world outside the gate.
