If she was human ....

Time to put up the Christmas decorations. The angels, wise men and shepherds take their place alongside Mary and the woman in  the blue dress in our Josephless take on the Nativity story.

It was deemed wise to have a very small Christmas tree well away from the reach of enthusiastic '' that ornament looks delicious " PON's. Although out of reach the tree and its decorations remain objects of unflagging canine interest.

Sophie spends an hour in the garden digging. It's wet. It shows. Angus can't help but think that if she was human she'd be the sort of tattooed wild girl seen riding on the back of a Harley. And to think we were worried that she'd be shy and retiring.

Oh yes, time for the beautiful wooden nativity scene with the ever so slightly creepy alien looking baby Jesus!

On the back of a hog?! She'd be driving!

That's a disgruntled-looking nativity. Maybe they're cranky Joseph isn't there....perhaps wetting the baby's head in the pub.

Yes, I remember a time when you thought Sophie was a shy PON!
Look at those muddy paws !

We have a gardening centre here called "Muddy Boots"....Sophie would make a great poster ad for them....she's still cute as a button all muddied up.
My tree is up high on a table too, but I don't think I could risk placing any gifts or decorations underneath...amazing Bob and Sophie haven't "unwrapped" those gifts under the tree as yet, or are you using one of those motion detector alarms by the tree? LOL.

We have been reduced to Christmas twigs this year, on account of 4 cats who would climb Christmas trees in a flash. Still they sit on the presents and eye the straw decorations! We wouldn't be without them, the dear little furry bundles!!

Well away from the reach of the PON's? Are you hanging your tree from the ceiling this year, Angus?
But then, Bob and Sophie are quite enterprising...

We see Sophie more as "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".

I never, ever, from the very start, thought she was be shy and retiring...I even remember writing some comment to that effect...cicha woda brzegi rwie - silent waters run deep, but the literal translations is - quiet water breaks the riverbanks...she's cool, she is....I am surprised that the nativity scene still has an almost full cast..... I give the Christmas tree a couple of days...they'll find a way to it!

Miss Muddy Paws sure has a way about her. I too am wondering abut the safety of those presents under the tree. And it was very satisfying to see the reemergence of the unique Joseph-less nativity.

Edward and Apple have never once even looked at the tree. We put up three of them and one is particularly huge. I've often wondered what they think. Gotta love Sophie.

Previous generations of PONs studiously ignored Christmas trees. This generation seem determined to make up for lost opportunities for mischief ..... in so many areas.

We just won't leave the PONs and the tree alone.

From hiding under her brother to grabbing onto his tail until she gets her way .... all in less than two years.

Or in this case '' Girls Just Wanna Dig "

Amazing that other characters haven't been chewed out of recognition by previous PONs.

And how...

Driving and swigging a bottle of beer .

That thought didn't last long.

The angels have a Roswell look to them too...

The 4 year old terror still hasn't had a Christmas tree on the floor! We're hoping next year.
He put muddy boots on his list for Santa!
And we love Sophie's personality...and Bob's too.
Merry Christmas to all...

That hiding was a put - on and practice to blame him for everything!
