Sings hymns at heavens gate.

Winter's here. Our first zero degree morning since last January. The mountains shrouded in snow bearing cloud. Up here on the ridge there's a biting wind. This makes the PON's feel at home - good Bydgoscz weather. They're frisky and delighted. On our way down into the market town we pass what I take to be two large dogs ambling along on the grass verge. On closer examination they're deer. Has the sudden cold snap made them dozy ?

We park the Skoda by the pollarded trees and head off to the cafe under the arcades. The large white dog on the opticians balcony comes out to greet us. Bob and Sophie, still ignorant as to the source of the noise, bark back, enthusiastically. The waitress at the cafe under the arcades has started wearing the plastic apron with a flashing Christmas tree on the front. The pre-breakfast beer and absinthe set are greatly taken with this.

An afternoon spent guarding, digging and chasing birds. It goes without saying that the birds don't view the PON's as a threat.

Here's a little Shakespearean eloquence to raise a smile on a winter Sunday morning : https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XOCL_NEgf0g

Cooler weather all around. Thank you for the Shakespeare link. Hadn't "met" Matthew M. before. Splendid!

Angus - That Shakespeare is so beautiful. I've listened to it three times in a row. What a love poem and so contemporary.

Enjoyable way to start my day with your photos and video. I remember someone saying once that ‘if you think you have exhausted a sonnet by Shakespeare, it’s you yourself who are exhausted.’

I will have to listen to the clip later...when the dog and her best dog friend aren't running around barking. What I could hear sounded lovely.

Just noticed all the cars parked around the square. The beer and absinthe crowd don't drive, do they?!!
