Make no sudden movements.

A change in the weather. It's markedly cooler and darker in the mornings. That turning of the page that comes after Ferragosto. Time to order heating oil and dig out the sweaters.

As we head back from the waterfall the suns rays are just gilding the folds in the hills. Today has been a day of much circling and sniffing. A hint that it's time to put the PONs on their leads. There have been sightings of Wild Boar and their piglets at the crossroads at the edge of the village.

Sophie treats the continued presence of strangers in the house in much the same way as we might treat the presence of mass murderers in our homes. That ' be vigilant and make no sudden movements ' approach.

Thankfully, she has a big brother to take care of her.

Big brother is quite happy dealing with the mass murderers as long as they share their breakfast bacon. He's also keen for them to get  the days first game of 'throw the furry fox' underway.

Remember Cecil the lion ? This is a positive example of how corporations can respond, and quickly, to public anger http://atwonline.com/blog/atw-cecil-honor-roll-now-26-airlines-around-world

I've no doubt that Sophie will warm up to the murderers on the same day they leave.

Kudos to the corporations and airlines. Hopefully widespread disapproval will continue to be heard and acted upon.

Oh, what a lovely photo of the happy duo. What a sweet soul Bob is, considering that his little sister spends much of her time savaging him ! A true case of turning the other cheek !
Better still if the airlines refuse to carry anyone intent on massacring these poor wild animals.

Isn't Sophie charmed by the bacon as well?

Not when offered by someone who clearly has murder on their mind.

At times of stress PONs must stick together.

We'd like to think she's getting used to them but so far there's little sign of acceptance.

Ha ha !! Miss Sophie is truly a Diva with safety on her mind. God Bless Bob.

Mr. Yogi would take food from Charles Manson unfortunately!

Bob is such a caring brother.
Love the Cecil Honor Roll! Trophy hunting enrages me! 😤

That first photo is stunning! I agree with Sophie, be very wary of strangers....but good thing for Bob! And bacon.

Miss Sophie is secretly writing a slasher thriller in which the ROF features prominently.

Hooray for the airlines, although people with too much money and too little humanity will probably still ship their "trophies" home by sea. Now let's get them stopped at the various borders. I believe some of the African countries are moving to ban that kind of hunting.

Good to see the airlines doing something.

Today's pictures were both hopeful, that fall will come; and endearing with Bob and Sophie forever siblings and best friends!
