Hint of diesel oil

The sunflowers when they come out are a bright and brash intrusion in the landscape. By contrast there's something about the muted blue of the flax that's quiet and relaxing. As we walk home Angus discovers that he's allergic to flax pollen. Listening to him snuffling and sneezing 'The Font' heads off for some anti-histamines. The symptoms persist.

Sophie has been rolling in the grass verges along the lane . Unfortunately, she's thrown caution to the wind, rolled too far and ended up in the bottom of a drainage ditch. The drainage ditch contains muddy slime. Sophie thinks this is wonderful. She repeats the process . Before doing it a third time she is firmly ordered home. The mud and hint of diesel oil cling resiliently to her beard.

So disappointed not to see a picture of Sophie in her post-ditch, pre-bath condition.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.

"Throw caution to the wind" might sum up Sophie's approach to life.

She's a delight, our Sophie. Again, we're fortunate to be able to see her lovely eyes.
I'm a fan of blue flowers and plants as well. They're so cool appearing on a hot summer's day.

The fields are truly lovely in any season -- A drainage ditch, not so much!
