What a difference 10 days make.

What rapid strides Sophie is making. From being Bobs timid little sister she's rapidly transitioning into a very self assured independent lady. This morning as we head out of the front door she's greeted by the gaggle of village under eights waiting for the school bus. She allows herself to be tickled behind the ear by each ( and everyone ) of them.

Back at The Rickety Old Farmhouse she's not entirely sure her master won't disappear again.

She follows him round the house to make sure there are no flock malfunctions. The PON joined at the ankles routine.

At the bakers some festive cakes make an appearance.

As does the ultimate minimalist Christmas tree. Sophie gets the end of a croissant from me and some pastry slivers from the young lady behind the counter.

Christmas Music . Song number 2 - Something straight out of Norwegian central casting. Lots of toddlers, naked flames and electrical cables in close proximity: https://youtu.be/EA0tJCaLAc8

Love the misty sunrise.

It's good to read that Sophie is doing well as a solo dog. And her following you around, I'd say she is taking that role very seriously.

A solo PON may prove to be every bit as intersting as a duo, for very different reasons! YAM xx

Watching Sophie's transition is quite interesting. Allowing the ear-tickling by the little ones is certainly a departure from her "normal" aloofness. The sunrise picture is lovely as are the festive cakes. Perhaps not so much the minimalist tree.

A “new normal” is being established at The ROF. You and The Font are now the Human Canines to Sophie. Before, in Sophie’s mind, it was Bob’s job to determine what you as humans were telling them to do. Sophie did what Bob did, or in many cases her own thing! Now, it is her responsibility to decide what you are telling or expecting her to do. We are all in for many surprises from Sophie!
