A judicious balance

Cloudy and borderline humid . Thunder can be heard growling in the far distance.

After our morning walk Sophie does what any sensible girl does when there's a storm about.

She guards the house from behind the linen 'bug' curtain. Nose out, rump in. A judicious balance between prudence and risk.

May Day sunrise. Time for Scottish students to plunge into the frigid North Sea at dawn in an ancient tradition. A wee nip of Gods amber nectar helps beat the cold : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaIbdbzB42o

Sensible Sophie!
I'm not sure what the air temperature was in St Andrews on Sunday, but it was balmy enough over in Torridon to tempt myself and my four visitors to take a 'refreshing' dip in Loch Torridon on Sunday afternoon. (We were not wearing skimpy bikinis though...)
Cheer, Gail.

Sophie appears very brave to me, with her nose emerging inch by inch from the curtain. After what she's been through, it's no wonder she wants to approach things like approaching thunder a bit carefully.

Love the last photo of Sophie! She's peeking out just enough to keep an eye on her domain and to make sure that pesky C-A-T isn't up to no good!
Brrr - a brave St. Andrew's tradition maybe, but I'd be on the shore wrapped up in my arctic survival gear!

Does Sophie know how many people she has never met, love her. How cute. Wish I could do that,

I'm so glad to see that Sophie is up to her usual tricks after such an awful scare last week.
