Work on the German billionaires new yoga centre continues. Holes for a series of plunge pools have been excavated and this morning a team arrive to do the preparatory work for concrete pouring. Sophie can't see them but she can hear them shouting in the distance.
The Old Farmer owns a two door Peugeot estate car. This used to belong to his wife. He can no longer afford the insurance to keep it, the pride and joy Mercedes and the venerable Ford Transit motor home on the road. Instead of selling it he waits until the field behind his house is firm and dry. He then drives the Peugeot round and round until he gets bored. This morning he's already got twenty three minutes of 'circling' under his belt.Spring cleaning time. Two eighteen inch high enamelled metal sheep bought many years ago in Kyrgyzstan have been moved from a high shelf to the middle of the dining room table. They must be at least a hundred years old.
'The Font' is in the process of washing them. Why anyone should produce enameled sheep is a mystery. We've always assumed they were decorative but perhaps they serve some other purpose ?

The sheep are fascinating. Thanks for giving us a closer look. One advantage enamelled sheep have over the real thing is that they do not produce copious amounts of sheep poo (currently Nobby's favourite snack, as I discovered in Torridon last week...)
Cheers! Gail.
Nobby - Just wait until you discover what badgers and foxes leave behind !
I like the sheep as well - I think whoever made them must have liked animals. Interesting to know the Old Farmer has yet another vehicle and touching to hear how he keeps it going.
23 minutes - and you can hear everyone of them. Sophie is looking bright today. We collect sheep, those are wonderful.
The sheep are cute.
Sophie is looking very sprightly today, waiting for her curly croissant ends?
Is the Old Farmer literally trying to run the old Peugeot into the ground? If it's old then I assume it's not worth selling?
Sheep from Kyrgystan...not baaaa-d! Wishing "ewe," Sophie and the Font a wooly great Thursday.
I am sure that if I had been in Kyrgyzstan and saw those enameled sheep, they would now be adorning my home too. Can't resist such creatures.
Your sheep really intrigued me so I Googled them and found some which look similar just in case you are ever adding to Sophie's flock of sheep. The question is are your sheep modern replicas or are they far older than you think?
