The builder is hard at work on one of the large windowed Victorian houses with beach views. He has an old and very friendly brown dog who LOVES to be with him . A warm blanket is set out on the grass so that the dog can happily lie and watch his master roll a wheelbarrow backwards and forwards onto a skip. The old fellow has a habit of absent mindedly wandering so he's kept safe with a rope tied loosely round his collar. Both owner and dog are more than happy to be close to each other. The builder can get on with his work and the dog gets tickles and chats. What could be more natural ?

This morning the dog is wearing ear phones. I ask the builder what his companion is listening to. 'Bark' comes the reply.
You couldn't really have a wittier start to the day.
