Winds.

Puppy and one of her sisters take a shortcut across the courtyard on their way back to the farmhouse. Puppy gives me a ' I'll catch up with you later' look that makes it plain she's too busy with a potato to talk to me.

In the art gallery window a small Scottie.  They had it in the back garden but have grown tired of crowds of Scottie hunters swarming through the showroom to look at it.

The sign informs me that it's 'The wee copper dug'.

Fallen leaves in the gutters. Shortening days, grey skies and 'fresh' temperatures tell us the weather is about to become very Scottish. There's been rain and 40 mph winds overnight. The students, who usually saunter along blocking the pavements, have picked up their pace and started to walk with wind avoiding determination. Their penchant for crossing the road without looking continues unchanged.

The supermarket has a wide variety of sunflowers this morning. There must be a glut of them as they're only £4 a bunch.

I've never seen one of these although they've been in the UK for nearly a decade. They certainly look aggressive and according to a vet they make professionals who treat them nervous. I wouldn't want to meet one of the lead down on the beach. The vet went on to say they are particularly popular with 'the criminal fraternity'.  I guess the reason for banning them is to ensure that they don't become even more popular :   https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-66775985

The unanticipated benefits of reading your blog every morning - today, Enid Blyton, whom I had never heard of until you mentioned her, popped up on the New York Times crossword. I felt so clever!

I wondered if the XL Bully had reached Aberdeen, but then I read in the P&J that a local owner of one of these dogs is organising a protest against the planned ban in Castlegate this coming Saturday.
Cheers, Gail.

Enjoy seeing all 3 of the 'wee dugs!'

And I agree about the article of the XL Bully's. A certain type of person is attracted to this dog, and that’s the real problem. These dogs are over-reactive, stimulated by movement, distrustful of strangers and incredibly strong. Most of them have specific bloodlines from champion fighting dogs and are bred from dogs that have shown they will fight to the death. I hope I never meet one.

It seems that Puppy and her sister have found a useful shortcut! Had to smile at her with the potato, does she carry it everywhere?
The copper Scottie is a very fine specimen! How many have you found?

The copper dog would look great at your place.

I agree with Travel. The copper scottie would make a wonderful addition to the Font's glass walled sanctuary. (And durability would not be an issue.)

The UKC in the US recognizes the American Bully as a companion dog and the website page listing the breed standard specifically states that "Aggressive behavior towards humans is uncharacteristic of the breed, and highly undesirable."

The AKC does not recognize the breed.

Love to see the puppy. Sad to see the takes on bully breeds, particularly from dog lovers.
