Stressed.

Sophie is a quart of energy in a pint pot. She is keen to get on with life. Open the door of her pen and she's off. Only another six or seven weeks of this close confinement to go.

For much of the day the web doesn't work. Either Google or Orange have been hacked. A French government page saying that we've accessed a terrorist site is all we can access.

La Blue Belle potatoes make an appearance in the greengrocers.

In the afternoon Bob is taken to the vets. He's bitten the hair from his back by the tail. The family boy sits, unmoving, on the examination table. Bob does not enjoy going to the vets. The manic biting diagnosed as a combination of a reaction to insect bites and being stressed over his sisters strange behaviour. A course of anti-histamines should do the trick. Isn't it odd that he should be stressed while his sister isn't ? We've ordered another Adaptil collar. In the meantime we've taken Sophie's and put it on Bob.

So passes a quiet day with dogs in deepest , deepest France profonde.

I read that Orange cut off Google. Had to switch to Yahoo and Bing to get work done. N'importe quoi.
It's really too bad they can't do Sophie's other leg right away. And poor Bob. Sophie has a shaved leg, and he shaves himself.

Oh poor chap. I hope the combination of anti-histamines and the Adaptil collar help him. If you are able to source any, I have found that a special dog formulation of tea tree cream helps; it both soothes and prevents the biting.
Bob is missing his partner in crime.

It does get better, starting with a few minute walks along a flat surface then slowly building up to 5 minutes which is a real treat. Any pauses for smells or wees are definitely not counted in the walking time.
Bob is a real sweetie.

Poor Bob - life is very strange for him at the moment. Not surprising that his sister isn't stressed - just look at all the attention she's getting. The poor boy probably feels left out, in spite of your very best efforts.

What an optimistic outlook...'only 6 to 7 weeks to go.'

As much as I sympathize with Sophie, I fully empathize with Bob. Being a "caregiver" is much more stressful than being a patient (did you not lose some hair or got a bit grayer during this experience yourself? ;-))
As for Sophie - don't let her "chill" attitude fool you; it is a known animal characteristic to feign well-being in order not to be dropped from the clan. (and it does not jive with her diva persona, does it?)

Bob is such a caring little soul. An easy-going nature can mask stress; still waters may run deep.
Your description of Sophie’s energy is wonderful. She looks like a coiled spring ready to let go.

Bob is stressed because something is amiss with one of his flock a he's powerless to help. Poor fellow, can't figure what he's not done properly. Maybe some Bob and Sophie (together) time with you will help to reassure him all is well as far as he's concerned.

Sophie looks like a puppy in the first picture! Hope Bob's ' spot ' clears up soon.

POor Bob.... that's a classic area for flea allergy. I recall you were using frontline regularly so hoping you still are? But stress can certainly do it . Good the adaptiil and anti histamine are working :)
