A job well done.

Bob maintains a watchful eye on Hogmanay proceedings. Only after everyone has been escorted to bed does the family fellow finally settle down. He is soon snoring.

His sister has been asleep for some time. At the end of dinner Sophie emits a single high pitched bark of irritation. It is of the '' Party if you must but I need my beauty sleep '' variety. After that she disappears downstairs into her 'quiet' spot. This is a cue for generations of family dogs to be remembered with great fondness and peels of laughter.

And this is the sort of Scandinavian music you want to listen to on a New Years morning : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNwgOkl5nRY

Bertie also prefers to retreat to a quiet spot when the partying gets too much. As in fact does his owner...
Looking forward to another year of entertaining tales from France profonde.
Happy New Year!
Gail (and Bertie).

Ah, it just clicked the airport visit was to collect folk, not send them! Glad you had a good time and that Sophie got her beauty sleep. Here's to 2019, may it bring much ...interest... YAM xx

It sounds like the ROF was the happening place last night. Good for you! I suppose Bob and Sophie didn't sleep in this morning, despite the late night.
Best wishes for 2019.

I find it amusing Sophie is the “curfew” alert, and Bob is the “alarm clock” ! May everyone at the ROF, the ones you love, and all of us your loyal readers, have a hopeful and blessed New Year.
