Artists model ?
Grey and overcast. The thermometer registering a comfortable 18 degrees. 'The Font' flings open all the shutters to let the cool air through the house. Sophie stands at the front door to deter any passing collar doves or C-A-T-S. Bob wanders over to watch his master top up the swimming pool. Today we note that the head of the European Commission and the European Central Bank will both be women. Both extremely talented. Will Elizabeth Warren be another woman to be promoted ?
The first of the sunflowers suddenly bursting into bloom after the recent heat.
On the town hall notice board a flyer for a local exhibition.
Angus wonders if Sophie would be a good artists model. The answer has to be a resounding no ! The concept of sitting still completely alien to her character.
A better selection of cakes today.

I enjoyed the Maisie clip and all of those that followed it. (Of course, we'd all really rather see a clip of Sophie finally having the chance to jump into the pond.) It's interesting how many generally serious commentators regularly intersperse their commentary with animal pictures - I guess we all need some relief these days and what could be better than dogs being dogs.
Excellent cake display today.
Bertie is appalled at the 'dogs jumping in rivers' theme, but it raised a smile in his owner.
Gosh you are going to have to go to that exhibition for us.
The cakes look fab - hoorah!! I hope you got one of each.
The Farmhouse looks great too - how nice to have the summer breezes blowing through. We have a gale blowing here with some heavy rain.
The artist would have to work off a photo of Sophie.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mme. Lagarde years ago; she is amazing. She is right: "Whenever the situation is really, really bad, you call in the woman."
Let's hope the local cigales aren't suffering from a fungus: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/28/science/cicadas-fungus-butts.html

Indeed, the cake array is rather inviting; maybe the new father had a good night's sleep for a change? I second the Angus-by-proxy-of-his-readers attending the exhibition. YAM xx
Surely, if there was a continuous supply of treats, with a few dessicated birds and voals thrown in for good measure, Sophie would be happy to sit for her portrait?
I could do justice to the raspberry tarts - wish we had something like that here...then again perhaps not - I wouldn't be able to exercise the same self control as 'The Font'.
Never mind filming Sophie jumping in the pond - what about Bob and the whooshing doors at Toulouse airport?
