Clipping 40.

Another hot day. The mercury clipping 40.

Our new daily routine involves getting up at 5:30 to make sure the angelic duo get a long walk while the air is still cool. If we time it right we can head along the ox track, through the sunflower fields and down to the little waterfall before the sun has fully risen. At this time of the morning deer, hare, dragon flies and the occasional fox our only companions.

A detour to the greengrocers for some breakfast peaches.

The supermarket is having a sale. On offer all sorts of things that were once desirable but have been left behind by the changing tide of consumer fashion. Amidst the soda syphons and non-4G  mobile phones  a large pile of hover boards. The sort of thing seen at Asian sea side resorts or in Atlantic City out of season. Angus picks up the box and shakes it as if this might  impart the secret of hover boarding. Picking up boxes and shaking them is yet another sign that I've turned into my father.

Bob and Sophie have always known cats can do this :

I am wondering what the thermometer reads at 5:30am. Equivalent to a baking hot day in Aberdeen, I'm guessing?
Cheers, Gail

Oh man - too hot. We love that cat. We like that its expression doesn't change the whole time. It just seems to glide over.

Hotter.

They really are wearing what by PON standards is a high and tight. Any shorter and we risk sunburnt skins. Bob has enough sense to lie in the shade. Sophie doesn't.

Too hot. Spot on. And still climate change is considered by some to be unproven.

Here in our part of Canada it is as hot. Stay cool.

Out for our morning walk before 7 a.m.
Forecast for 40ยบ here earlier today but it's now clouded over. The Med. is only five minutes away (straight downhill!) and there is a sea mist in the valley below. Suddenly it's blissfully much cooler, so windows and doors wide open to catch the breezes.
Inca Lab. has the right idea - she's snoozing!

We hope the weather will cool down for you soon. It's always smart to take those early morning walks before it gets to hot. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
