No doubt.

Hot again. The pre-August heat building. The PONs are parked out on the cool floor tiles when I wander downstairs at 5:30. They're both sound asleep. It takes a moment or two for Bob to wake and his tail to wag. His sister takes a little longer to emerge from her beauty sleep.

Task 1 of the day rush round to the village pond to ensure that the Coots and the Moorhens are under control.

Then we're off through the sunflower fields for some high adventure.

After some toing and froing the PONs are loaded up into the car and we head off to carefully choose our croissant.

It seems that a brioche a la Canadienne has cranberries baked into it

For lunch Angus opts for a millefeuille and a sophisticated raspberry thing for 'The Font'.

We then head out into the square for a coffee and a bowl of water. So starts our day. Some might think that it's just another sunny day but PON owners are left in no doubt that this is going to be the best day ever - by far.

French ballad for a hot Monday morning.

Excellent cake and pastry selection today. I think a refreshing lemon tart would be my choice.
The video is very French!

We like this bakers selection of pastries. Mille Feuille - yumm!!

OMG - the cricket!! We are all in shock, but how exciting.

Certainly hope you like raspberry, since, from what you've said, the Font will eat only one bite. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?
Thank you for your eclectic musical offerings. I'm only aware of what happens to be on screens that I walk by, usually on the ubiquitous TVs in the gym, and what my kid shows me, but it seems there's a kind of music video that is typical here that you rarely see elsewhere--the sweet, story-telling kind with a retro feel, like this one.

One raspberry and the remainder is pushed across the lunch table with the words 'Delicous ! Why don't you finish it ?'. No further encouragement is needed.

Yumm sums the millefeuille up.

Years ago my husband worked for a Swedish company and we lived in Sweden, for a time. I remember how slim all the women were and none of them ever touched more than a mouthful of anything remotely fattening! It was a way of life to them, just as we Brits were always told to clean our plates and eat every last mouthful ! School habits die hard !
Of course every day is the Pon's best day ever. Apart from dreaded k-e-n-n-e-l-s, how can it nor be?
