Our first full month together. Bob and Sophie thriving. Bob over eleven kilos, Sophie nudging ten. Bob a big happy lolloping boy. Derring-do on four legs. Sophie as smart as they come. Canny and quick witted. Necessary traits for making sure her big brother does what he's supposed to.The two of them as different in terms of temperament as chalk and cheese.
Our daily routine now settled to dog and owners satisfaction. Pirana teeth dealt with. The cast of characters in their story getting wider by the day. The waitress, the bakers wife, Madame Bay , the ladies of the kitchen committee. Socialization by croissant or McVities wholewheat digestive.
Sophie picks up a ceramic flower pot and carries it down the stairs from the upper terrace into the garden. She can put a paw through the hole in the end. Bob finds this fascinating. They play like this for an hour. Sophie sticking a paw through the hole and then pulling it back. Bob trying, unsuccessfully, to bite it. Doggedness. ' The font ' says '' I don't think I've ever seen anything as funny ". A statement that dog owners around the world will understand. Contentment and optimism - a side effect of living with natures jesters.

Have they had a bath yet?
Not yet. Their coats have that once in a lifetime puppy softness. They do howver get groomed once a day and have their noses washed constantly.
Of one thing you can be sure. Bob and Sophie will find something even funnier to do before too long.
Cheers, Gail.
The dynamic duo... that first photo is lovely. Peace personified.
Have flowerpots ever been this much fun since Bill and Ben?
Joyous moments of pleasure x
Bob and Sophie may be as different as night and day, but the two are bonded together like glue, aren't they?
Can't believe it's been a month already!
Love that muddy nose.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
An entire month already? My gosh, time sure does fly when you're having fun.
Loved the muddy noses....what's a good day without some mud to play with, and of course a nice long stick?
Angus, I hope the breeder reads this blog, and is enjoying the progress of these two adorable angels, and knowing that they could not have gone to a better home.
The scene you described of Bob and Sophie playing with the hole in the bottom of the pot is hilarious....and of course priceless.
Time flies..

Glad a routine has been established, it is good to know when the fun begins! The video of them chewing on the same stick is just priceless, two peas in a pod. Everyday is another chance to say awwwww. Thanks so much, Karen Rathje
Time flies so quickly! I remember when Kuster was a little ball of fuzz and now, well, he's a very big ball of fuzz! I love how fascinated puppies are by the simplest of things! :)
I could sit and watch puppies (and kittens) playing for hours. They live in the Now, which is something we humans could learn from.
The paw in the pot game sounds hilarious!
How have you corrected the pirana teeth??
Loud yelps followed by turning your back on them every time little teeth savage exposed skin.
They really do have a perfect life. The company of each other, a lot of running space, parents that are at home with them, good friends and food. What pup could ask for more?

Sophie is amazing. I've never heard of a dog being able to pick up a clay pot and carry it downstairs. The piranha stage-glad it is over!
It seems like only yesterday...
I've been waiting for Sophie to transport one of those pots. The video today so sweet - we'll share - for awhile :). What a wonderful month.
I find I socialize better with a digestive or two in hand.....
Those pups! Such joy they bring me...
