The secret of happiness is something to do.

Weigh day. The results entered on 'the fonts' computer. There's no doubting that Bob is going to be a big boy. Two thirds grown at 4 1/2 months. A good fly-half in the making.

It stops raining and the sun comes out. More holes are dug. The pups loaded into the back of the car and driven to a motorway service station. Time to get them acclimatized to heavy trucks, squealing toddlers and revving engines.

Gears crash, doors slam, four Italians on Harley Davidsons  roar off at high speed down the slip road. A young black Labrador barks a greeting. Amid the pandemonium Bob and Sophie remain absorbed by the antics of a family of squabbling sparrows who flutter,  annoyingly,  just out of reach.

Amid the noise and pollution their attention is fixed on that which sings. What a gift.

I vote that all PONs have tails!! For awhile early on I couldn't figure out why B&S looked different from W&D. Their tails are so expressive! I love these puppies so.

Angus, honestly, have you never refilled the flower pot? Seems as if Sophie digs first on one side of the planter and then turns around and dig from the other side, which is very clever on her part.
If she ever dug it all out, I'd be refilling when they're not around, just so I could get to watch them both in action.
They are getting bigger and cuter and sweeter every day.

Well, crickets are fascinating! lol Were Wilf and Digby on the larger side or closer to average size?

Weight tracking along so nicely. I like that the graph colours are not gender specific. What did or didn't you feed them in week 5? Lucky little dogs.

Bob is going to be like W and amazingly Sophie is exactly the same size as D.

The trough never needs filling. The dirt simply gets shoveled from one side to the other. There is of course a fair degree of spillage that finds its way into the house.

Probably the snail and vole supplements.

notice how she always finds some wonderful morsel of something or other to eat in whatever pot she's in?
i love it!!!
my zeke had his tail also. the vet thought he came from a puppy mill. sadly there are many in this state. he was found starving and wandering around a huge mall parking lot. ribs broken. taken to a shelter here called 'second chance.' but he was a pon. no mistaking. the spirit and markings and shape. the vet had to study a bit to find it. zeke wagged his tail in a circle when he was delighted! and he was delighted a lot!

Why am I not surprised that Angus uses a tartan lead for the Pons?

How lovely to see them grow. And their personalities are emerging through your writing!

There surely must be something delicious down at the bottom of that planter!

Angus - You saved the best til last. Their attention is fixed on that which sings. How wonderful to be a dog in France.

Looks like Bob doesn't get enough turns in the planter.

I love the growth records! I did the same thing for my K, plus I measured her leg length every week as she grew. It was fun.

Bob is going to be a very big boy!

I'm glad to hear of the socialization. If only someone had done that for Shyla as a pup, she'd be a different dog now. No worries - we love her but she didn't get what you are giving your pups.
