Curiosity is one of the great secrets of happiness.

The thrum of a two stroke engine signals the approach of  Madame Bay in her gold metallic 'Wild Child' voiturette. Within five minutes of her arrival she's arguing with the builders.  '' How am I supposed to work here ? Look at this mess " . A row of neatly arranged boxes containing electric drills a particular irritant.  She tells the joiner to wipe his feet. The workmen take the remonstrations of this beturbaned virago with good grace.

Madame Bay spends the rest of her morning cutting roses . By the time she goes every vase is full of slightly wind damaged blooms. Even the kitchen has become a riot of pink. The house looks as though Barbie has decorated it.

Bob and Sophie thoroughly enjoy the mornings theatre.

Between Madame Bay and the pups, I'm surprised there's a flower left in the garden!

Roses already. The daffodils are still out in Aberdeen.

Sophie have you had your first hair cut?

Our first thought was how tidy those tools were. Maybe tidiness is in the eye of the beholder.

Don't know what the pups are eating/drinking, but looks like Sophie loves it.

The roses look lovely. I see that Bob has graduated on to a big boys flowerpot!
Have a great Saturday.

Looks to me like Angus enjoyed the mornings theater as well! I did start sneezing when we got to the library table though.

Cheers,

How many workmen have actually invaded the ROF? Those are quite a few tools....however I think they're being stored very neatly. Poor Madame Bay, she'll need to stay away from the work area while they're there, and not get agitated at the mess.
Loved the videos today where Bob and Sophie are running in tandem (herding instinct evident), but I couldn't make out what they held in their mouths. Still cute though.
Gorgeous roses from your garden....what a lovely distraction for Madame Bay.
Seems like Bob has found his own flower pot.
Are Bob and Sophie enjoying a cool refreshing drink from that pretty ceramic bowl? I would too.

Well spotted. Bob and Sophie are indeed drinking from that bowl. It, and the furniture they are standing on, are supposed to be 'out of bounds'.

well.
i can start my day. a cup of hot fragrant coffee ... a trip to deepest lush green france ... laughter and love from the rickety old farmhouse also known as bob and sophie's playground. i can think of nothing more enjoyable. a puppy in a pot. and rich black dirt. it's a perfect world after all.
madame bay marches in with fresh air and authority! a hard combination to beat. xo

Todd has been digging in our yard again, and it made me think of Bob and Sophie!

The flowers are so lush and beautiful, I thought they were peonies. Barbie or no, they are lovely. And BTW, I totally covet your bookshelves.

I have been sick for a few days and have been unable to check-in". Some things never changes, the digging continues and the pups get cuter by the day. Glad to see that Miss Sophie is sharing her pot with Bob. Speaking of Bob I hear he has "found his voice", bet Sophie loves that!

Beautiful roses! Those two pups sure are darling, love how they are in each other's back pockets all the time. Now that is a wonderful bond!

Tell me, have you read every single book in your library? I have always wanted a house that had a wall for my books. Pure heaven in my opinion!

Bob aka Bob De-Potter. The roses are lovely! Oh, yes, I could move into your library - my favorite decorating style: bookshelves!

What Teena and Merlin said.
Have been going through a rough time with my mum, who has severe Alzheimer's and just turned 90 on may 24. The pups, the plants and the pastries have contributed to the maintainance of what little sanity I have left.

I laughed at the "out of bounds" too.
